The program is not designed to break you, it’s designed to help you break barriers; mentally, emotionally, and physically. We want you to succeed! EQUIPMENT
» We understand that not everyone has access to a fitness gym. We understand that not everyone has access to a home gym. We understand that not everyone has the money to afford to buy lots of equipment. We have simplified the complexities of this type of training program, in order to cater athletes from all walks of life, with and without access to proper training facilities and equipment.
» TRAINING PARTNER (OPTIONAL)
One more piece of advice for this program. It’s always good to have a training partner. Finding someone who will push you, help hold you accountable, and make sure you are smart and safe while training can help you to progress a lot as an athlete. Again, it’s not required.
» DUMBBELLS
You may also consider purchasing a set of Dumbbells or Kettlebells. These are easily accessible at big box department stores and even used training equipment stores. My first set of Dumbbells were each 15lbs. Bought them when I was 12 years old. More than 20 years later, I still have them and still use them. Investments in equipment like the Sandbag, Dumbbells, Kettlebells etc. can last the career span of an athlete, when taken care of and used properly. You won’t need lots of heavy weights either. Don’t go out and buy a 70lb Kettlebell because you think you’ll grow being able to use it. Find something that you can do the basic lifts with: Squats, Deadlifts, Cleans, and Push Presses. The weight you choose should be manageable but not overwhelmingly challenging or daunting to use.
